Reducing Back Pain
Growing evidence suggests acupuncture can be beneficial for reducing lower back pain. A recent study, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, found that a seven-week course of acupuncture helped many patients ease the pain of chronic lower back pain. The study is published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
Several recent studies show osteoarthritis symptoms can be relieved with acupuncture. One Scandinavian study reported that 25% of patients canceled their plans for knee surgery after acupuncture. Read more here.

WHAT OTHERS SAY
KIND WORDS FROM PATIENTS
"Mark did much more than administer acupuncture. He's an excellent and empathic listener and takes the time to understand what's going on. He had great suggestions, and showed genuine interest and care throughout the course of my treatment."
"I went to Mark when I developed sciatica (pinched sciatic nerve) when I was 7.5 months pregnant with my second child and could barely walk due to the searing nerve pain. His treatments really helped to relieve the pain and he gave me exercises to do at home to speed recovery."
"I was not a believer of eastern medicine until I met Mark. After 3 months of low back pain that left me unable to tie my shoes I took the plunge! I could not have been happier! I was able to walk out of the office a new woman with no pain in my lower back."
